The Stars Were Shining
July 10th, 2011 Posted in Sports, Uncategorized | No Comments »The stars were aligned and shining brightly as Minnesota’s pro team, the NSC Minnesota Stars, fought their way to a victory over the Carolina RailHawks last night. It was my first pro soccer game in thirty years and it proved to be a good one. I took a few of the kids and we had a great time. Here’s a summary of the game.
The game was quiet until a second half penalty shot. Joe Warren saved and Carolina missed–the battle continued. A red card late in the game helped Amani Walker of the Stars score in the 90th minute. Here’s a link to the goal.
With the game settled, the fans were able to enter the field and meet the players. We said “Hi” to a few and capture a few images as well. It was a really fun evening.
